Each varietal expressing its own main characteristics the wood is only a soft dressing for these wines it never trespasses the intensity of the fruit.

CHARACTERISTICS

Varietal Composition: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Grape Origin: Finca Libertad, Mendoza Upper River, (850 meters above sea level, 2800 ft.), Cruz de Piedra, Maipú, Mendoza. Mixture of young vines planted in 1996 and the ancient vines planted in 1993 by the Benegas Family.

Harvest Time: Last week of April.

Winemaking Process: Prefermentative cold maceration. Fermentation in atnk at 25°C with native yeast. Post fermentation for two weeks.

Ageing: 6 months in French oak barrels.

Technical Data: Alcohol 14.5%, Sugar 1.96, PH 3.6, Acidity 5.53 gr/lt.

Tasting Notes:

-Colour: Intense deep dark red colour, with tile reflex. Bright with great body and structure.

-Nose: Herbaceous at the entrances, with fresh and complex aromas of red fruits such as currants, raspberries and plums.

-Mouth: In the middle palate it shows balance between acidity, tannis and alcohol. Elegant and lonh velvety finish.

Ageing Capacity: 8 years.

Drinking Temperature: 15°/17° C (59°/63° F)

Food Pairing: Excellent to accompany dishes of Italian or Greek food, Tomato sauces, gourmet pizzas, various grilled meats, poultry, duck and lamb with fine herbs.
